Rankings
A ranking is the report list with combined filters and a sort: pick a probe (TCP or ICMP), narrow by region, test hours, return routes and more, and sort by latency, lowest first. Each row is one report, not a datacenter summary.
Ready-made rankings
- Lowest latency to China (TCP)
- Lowest evening-peak latency (TCP, 20–24)
- Lowest latency to China (ICMP)
- Premium routes on all three carriers
- Telecom CN2 GIA
- Unicom 9929
- Mobile CMIN2
- Hong Kong
- Japan
- Singapore
- United States
- IPv6 latency to China (TCP)
- Latency to China by datacenter (TCP)
- Netflix + ChatGPT unlocked, lowest latency
- Highest Geekbench 6 single-core
- Highest Geekbench 5 single-core
- Highest 4K random read/write IOPS
Rules
- TCP (the large-packet TCP probe of NetQuality and NodeQuality) and ICMP (ECS's ping) are ranked separately, never mixed.
- Three-carrier average: per province the mean of the carriers that answered, then the mean of those provinces; a carrier's average uses only its answering provinces. “Answered” is the number of provinces counted (of 31); there is no threshold, filter with “Min. provinces answered”.
- Geekbench 5 and 6 scores do not compare and are ranked apart; 4K IOPS compares only fio runs with YABS's parameters (YABS, ECS): HardwareQuality runs fio differently and is left out.
- “By datacenter” folds a provider's reports at one datacenter into one row with their median, count and best report, so one datacenter with many reports cannot fill a ranking.
- Test hours are Beijing time (UTC+8); reports without a test time are left out of the hours filter. A time whose zone was inferred from an abbreviation is marked “≈”.
- An admin can take a report out of the rankings; it stays in the plain list.
